Residential Services

Northland I and Northland II offer apartment living in an apartment complex with support from a live-in residential manager. The residential manager assists people to further develop their independent living skills with laundry, house keeping, meal preparation, hygiene and budgeting. In addition, the residential manager encourages the development of socialization and leisure skills through group and individual activities. The residential manager also assists with medication education and monitoring.

The residential services are designed to help people with the following needs:
  • Lack independent living skills
  • Lack socialization skills
  • Poor use of leisure/recreation time
  • Poor independent living history
  • Limited support group/network
  • Inadequate vocational skills
  • Poor self-care/hygiene skills
  • Homeless
  • Exhibit challenging behaviors

The services provided include:
  • On-site assistance by case manager and or a resident manager
  • Laundry facilities
  • Assistance with independent living skills (laundry, meal prep, hygiene, budgeting)
  • Socialization/leisure skill training (group activities)
  • Medication monitoring/education
  • Links with internal and external resources
